The Durbanville Wine Valley hosted the inaugaral Sip, Soup and Bread festival on the 21st of June 2009. This winter event co-incided with Father’s Day, one of the year’s most special days for family get-togethers.

Participating farms were Altydgedacht, Bloemendal, D’Aria, De Grendel, Diemersdal, Durbanville Hills, Hillcrest, Meerendal and Nitída.
